REPUTATION BRIEFING

CREATING AN ETHICAL AND INCLUSIVE INSURANCE MARKET TO IMPROVE CONSUMER TRUST

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES  REMIND ME ABOUT THE 2020 EVENT

In conjunction with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Insurance Post held the inaugural Reputation Briefing where we cross-examined the reputational impact that dual pricing is having on the insurance ecosystem. In 2018, Citizens Advice issued a super-complaint as loyal customers were continuing to be penalised by over £4 billion a year. The Briefing evaluated the impact that the price war is having and the perception of the industry.

As comparison websites drive policy pricing down and lower the margins of first time customers, the policy pricing and margins for renewing customers is much higher. Thus decreasing the individual’s chance of renewal and losing the value of the product provided.

Thank you to everyone who attended. A special thank you to our hosts at CII and to our speakers:

  • Sian Fisher, CEO, Chartered Insurance Institute
  • Steven Mendel, Founder and CEO, Bought by Many
  • James Daley, Managing Director, Fairer Finance
  • Morgan Wild, Policy Lead (Consumer and Public Services), Citizens Advice
  • Anthony Wright, Assistant Director, Head of Communications, ABI
  • Ian Hughes, CEO, Consumer Intelligence
