This Year’s Host

This year’s host is comedian Stephen K Amos. Amos made his comedy debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 2001. He has been a regular feature on The Fringe circuit ever since, having appeared every year since 2003. Amos is famed for his warm and wickedly funny comedy, as well as his ability to charm any audience into his own personal world of strange characters, situations and thoughts, brought to life with his own unique brand of energy and warmth.

As well as his skills on the stand–up circuit, Amos is no stranger to the screen, having recently appeared on show such as Have I Got News For You, Time Gentlemen Please, The Casting Couch, Good Stuff, The 100 Greatest Scary Moments and Elvis Has Left the Building. In March 2007 his documentary on homophobia in the black British community and Jamaica was broadcast by Channel 4.
